We are identifying and addressing any issues encountered during the debugging and testing phase and will be publishing here any issues and possible work arounds during the transition period until the next release.
The following issues have been identified within v5.0.b:
-
The GD tool is not yet able to be used on 64 bit systems (e.g. MS Access 2010). This update is scheduled to be included in a future release.
-
A problem has been identified with an obsolete check when entering changes in the HVAC systems \ HVAC management screen. A fix for this has been put in schedule for the next release. In the meantime, please do not use this screen.
-
An additional issue has been identified which occurs when creating a new project in v5.0.b (but not when converting from a previous version). Again a fix for this has been scheduled to be included in the next release. In the meantime there are 2 options to address this issue when encountered by users:
-
Send the newly created nct file to BRE. We will add the fix to it and return it for users to keep working with it.
-
Create a new project in a previous version of the tool and then immediately afterwards, convert it to v.5.0.b
Please note the following for clarification:
-
v5.0.b does not yet include the customised management improvement recommendations shown on the report - still default ones are shown for the moment
-
The report does not at this point show the Scottish energy band when entering the EPC ratings.
Thank you for the feedback submitted to date.

The tool now also shows the ratings for the Actual as Potentially managed building in the Baseline. Other bugs have also been corrected.
Please note at present the functionality to show the EPC rating and band in the GDOA report is not available for Scottish EPCs. This issue is currently being dealt with and an update will follow soon.
Further calibration of management scores is under way at present and later releases will incorporate enhanced capabilities in this area.
Please bear in mind the tool has got limited debugging and there might be bugs and glitches that will be corrected in future versions. Your feedback on these issues will be much appreciated.

A new version of the GDSAP software has been released today adding new functionalities to the existing tool.
This release addresses issues identified to date on previous versions and introduces further enhancements to the Green Deal assessment methodology for non domestic buildings. Particularly the calculation of management scores and operational data inputs have been improved.
There are still a few issues being considered in relation to the normalisation methodology that should have limited impact in the interface on future versions.
Please bear in mind the tool has got limited debuging and there might be bugs and glitches that will be corrected in future versions. Your feedback on these issues will be much appreciated.
Due to the time constrains to produce this release in time for training there is no file conversion capability for files saved on the immediate previous versions 4.2.b and 4.2.b(1). Files from previous versions can be converted to 4.3.a.
Thank you for the feedback submitted to date.

A new version of iSBEM_v4.2.b for testing Green Deal Assessments has been released today.
This release addresses issues identified to date as announced on 19 December 2011:
-
Measures screen: the figures showing the cost savings erroneously show the kWh/m2 savings instead
-
When creating new scenarios based on previous scenarios, the cost savings of any measures for the previous scenario were not being transferred to the new one (they showed as blank).
-
In the Activity tab, the record selector and buttons to create and delete activities are not visible
-
Some users reported some warning messages which kept coming up when creating new scenarios. This was recreated when using the run time version of Access but may also happen depending on the different Access security levels which users may have. Additional code to switch these messages off has been added to the tool.
Enhancements:
-
When creating new activities, the default values of the original activities on which they are based are now shown as defaults
No file conversion is needed in this issue. Files created with iSBEM_v4.2.b will open in this release.
Thank you for the feedback submitted to date.
